Abstract
Tarsal tunnel syndrome (TTS) is a relatively rare entrapment neuropathy of the posterior tibial nerve or its branches in the medial aspect of the ankle. Among numerous etiologies, varicose vein is one of the most common causes of TTS. The clinical presentation is important for the diagnosis of TTS, and MRI can help to identify specific compressive lesions into the tarsal tunnel. We report a case of bilateral TTS secondary to varicose veins with normal nerve conduction study and characteristic MRI findings.
